Syntax: mate <target> Whoever is the target must type Y to mate, N or any other entry will abort the action.

Mating is the process where a couple can have children. Having a child is not necessarily easy, and not always possible. All living races are capable of reproducing with other members of the same race. Undead races are unable to have children, and not all races can crossbreed. DO NOT ASK WHAT RACES CAN CROSSBREED. This information is not going to be given out.

When mating takes place, the target is asked whether they consent or not. If consent is given, a chance for fertilization exists. If fertilization takes place, the female will become pregnant. If a pregnant female dies, the child is lost. Otherwise, she will give birth, and be prompted to name the child. There will be 5 minutes worth of notification before labor begins, to allow her to find an appropriate location.

Some notes: The change sex spell makes its target infertile for the duration of the spell. Different races have different fertility cycles, and some races have more dominant genes. Again, DO NOT ASK FOR THESE DETAILS.

The newly created child character begins the game at 7 years of age. The family is left to determine whether or not to introduce the character immediately, or wait for a period of time before creating the character.

Some races lay eggs. The eggs will remain for a period of time. When it hatches, the player carrying the egg is the one the new character will imprint upon, if no one is carrying the egg, or the egg breaks, the child is lost.
