Guess the Phrase

Guess the phrase is a new game. It's a strange hybrid of Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune.

The basic premise is that there is a word or phrase, and the first person to guess it wins. At first, this phrase is shown entirely as dashes, like "-----" However, various letter tiles are randomly scattered around both continents. Picking up a tile will 'call' it, (assuming it's not a duplicate), and if that letter is contained within the phrase, it will be unmasked. You gain 1 qp for calling an uncalled letter. Those who correctly guess the phrase receive 5 qps.

The syntax for making a guess is: guessphrase <phrase> For example, guessphrase dog

Capitalization doesn't matter, but spaces and punctuation (if any) DO!

Typing checkphrase will display the phrase (with unfound letters still masked by dashes, of course) to you.

You can see what letters have already been called by typing checkletters.

For the checkphrase, checkletters, and guessphrase commands to work, you need a hubcap item. These can be found in the New Lensmoor Morgue, and one south of Semdea Center. Simply go there and type retrieve to get one.

For the pedantic out there, the 'phrase' need not be a phrase, it could be a word, a question, a quote, whatever. It can be IC or OOC. It's all up to the imm running it.
